The CROI Foundation has designated that the International Antiviral Society–USA (IAS–USA) will continue to serve as the Secretariat for the logistical planning and organization of CROI 2015 (www.CROIconference.org). The IAS–USA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional education organization established in 1992 to fill a major void in objective, practical, and cutting-edge practitioner education in the field of HIV, with an expanded focus that includes viral hepatitis and other complications of HIV. The IAS–USA conducts educational conferences across the United States and convenes symposia at major national and international meetings. Donna M. Jacobsen, the Founding Executive Director/President of the IAS–USA, will serve as the CROI 2014 Executive Manager.
The Scientific Program Committee, headed by Drs Scott M. Hammer (Chair), Susan P. Buchbinder (Vice Chair), and Julie Overbaugh (Vice Chair), leads scientific programming for CROI 2015. CROI 2015 will present workshops, plenary sessions, symposia, abstract-driven sessions, and poster discussions presenting high-quality and cutting-edge research related to HIV; opportunistic and other infections associated with HIV; organ-system complications of HIV; other retroviruses, including hepatitis B and C viruses; tuberculosis; and their treatments.
